Obituary of David Allen Swanburg

SWANBURG David, , Allen, Age 75, Passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024 in Brainerd, MN. He was bornin St. Paul, MN. He received the National Merit Scholarship Award and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a double major in mechanical and industrial engineering. Dave enjoyed a long career with the 934th Airlift Wing.

He finished those years as Base Civil Engineer before retiring to the lake. Survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Judy; children Becky (Eric), Scott, Lisa, and Tim (Nicole); six grandchildren; siblings Judy Elert, Anne (Jim), Janet (Paul), Bob (Pat) plus numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Norris and brother-in-law Jerry Elert. Dave will be remembered for his love of travel, reading on the porch, and cooking for his family. Funeral service Monday, April 1, at 11:00AM with visitation one hour prior at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 2499 N. Helen St., North St. Paul. Lunch to follow service.
