Thirty years we were neighbors! We raised our kids together sounded off to each other about what the heck we were going to do with them. I loved our evenings sitting on the bench just remembering. I always knew you were there for me anytime we had a thunderstorm. Oh how I hate a storm. You took such good care of my papa when he lived with me. You would share all your creations with him including that amazing banana bread. He never went hungry with you next door. I remember you taking such good care of your mom in her final stage of life she was so lucky to have you. James and girls were a big part of your life your uncle used to spend lots of time in the neighborhood too. So many good times. We always worked together well as shared home owners. You had a warm loving hug that held me together many times your sense of humor used to make me realize you can't take life to serious. You will be missed my friend. I will watch over your precious David and Brooke. I will always be here for them for you my dear. Rest now my friend your journey here is done but we will join you in the next one day. Give papa a hug please.

My Ode to Cindy...
24 years ago i met Cindy when passing through Lakeview Hospital for imaging, she checked me in and we got chatting (imagine that) i asked if there were any openings in their department... Cindy said they had a new boss now and to reapply so i did and was hired by Scott and showed up at Cindy's desk the following day to start training which brought a surprised look to her face... you know that face, mouth open looking up at you over her glasses!!
She loved her family...
In the early years it was always Peanut this and Peanut that... that first Grandson brought her so much joy!
Then more lately it was the Brooklyn stories and her above average adventures and whitty comments.
Never heard her speak a bad word about Dave, she so loved and talked non stop about their trips to the casino and when they were going back next, oh and the family camping trips every summer.
She loved her volunteers, keeping track of their schedules and finding stuff for them to do. And the pet therapy dogs and their humans were def the highlight of her day!!
She had her regular patients who would peek their heads around her desk to say "hello to Cindy" as they passed thru and oh i dread the next time when i have to tell them she is no longer with us.
We will miss you so Cindy... your funny chuckly laugh that would send you into a coughing fit... the times you literally gagged when people sat at your desk heaving and with a barf bag... the 5million times you had to ask how to spell diarrhea and hemorrhoids, the utter amazement in your eyes that day when we taught you how to use google "you mean i can put anything in there and it will just pull it up for me?", your mountian dew, then flavored waters, all the coupons, werthers originals, those horrid sour patch thingys, your love of lemons, your homemade banana bread with the secret ingredient (sour cream) slathered in butter...yum! , the joy on your face when tomato soup and italian dunkers were on the cafeteria menu, and oh how could i forget the flaming hot cheetos dipped in ranch that you had me hooked on at one point! Fridays in the summer when you would fly outta here all pumped up for the "back to somethin car show in North St Paul" where they had the best cheese curds and onion rings.
Ahhh, Cindy you were a joy, you truly cared so much for others and you always brought a smile and a chuckle to my face... You were there right next to me at one of the hardest heartbreaking moments of my life and i will never forget your protectiveness, compassion and care... I will miss being greeted every Friday @3p "Hello Glenda, it's Friday you know" and i would grumble back at you " ya Cindy it is and i have 8 hrs ahead of me... oh Cynthia you will be missed.
Your Lakeview co-worker friend, Glenda
